Where did you complete your training (or where are you still in training)?
Influential Breathwork Academy (founder Anna Parker-Naples). Certified Influential Breathwork Coach and BreathHealing Release™ Practitioner over a 24-week programme. Currently studying for Master BreathHealing Release™ Practitioner certification.
What do you enjoy about breathwork and how has it helped you?
I came to breathwork as a sceptic with a science brain, and I still love that it’s practical. It’s free, it’s portable, and it works whether or not you believe in it. For me it also did something I didn’t expect: it gave me a way back to my own seasonal practice, with no coven and no ritual space needed, just my body in the season I’m standing in.
Are you trained in any other modalities?
Breath Tapping (EFT-informed) and embedded language, taught as part of the BreathHealing Release method.
How do they integrate with breathwork?
Subconscious reprogramming is woven naturally into every session through the language I use. Tapping is another tool within BreathHealing Release™, and I bring to all of it everything I’ve learned in five decades of living. (Which I’m told counts.)
What is your personal journey?
My Pagan path began in Wicca and witchcraft in the 1990s. For years the seasons, the myths of the gods and goddesses, and our pathworkings were the spine of my life. Then my coven gradually dispersed, and I drifted. Working in a high street building society and then in Church of England primary schools meant keeping that part of me out of sight. When I trained in breathwork, I assumed it would be a separate, science-and-medicine thing with no room for the rest of me. I was wrong. Breath turned out to be the way back in. Now I bring the two together, working with midlife women online and in Salisbury.
What do you stand for, and what do you stand against?
I stand for practices that meet people where they are: practical, science-informed, and open to older wisdom too. I stand for midlife as a beginning, not a decline. I stand against one-size-fits-all routines, against being told to “just relax”, and against any suggestion that breath fixes everything. It doesn’t, and I’d rather say so.
What is your greatest wish for your clients
That they learn to listen to their own magic: the quiet inner voice of intuition, not the ego. And that they trust their own body, and their own seasons along the way, and stop apologising for either.
