Where did you complete your training (or where are you still in training)?

Breathwork Coaching Course – The Exhale Awakening (still to finish the requirements for graduation).

What do you enjoy about breathwork and how has it helped you?

I enjoy the sense of comfort and relief in the practice. And the knowledge that it is the connection between body and spirit. The missing piece for me.

Are you trained in any other modalities?

Yes, a variety. Astrology, Philosophical Enquiry, Shadowwork®, Massage and Reflexology energy healing. Originally started in the Theatre.

How do they integrate with breathwork?

Breathwork ties the spiritual work and the body work together. And it provides me with another angle so I can assist people to more fully access their consciousness/awareness. It adds to the many strands of caring that I already practice.

What is your personal journey?

I seem to be eclectic. My life has been a journey between the intimate and the collective. I started in the Theatre, giving that up when I could not keep my integrity. I joined a global intentional community with the same values and spiritual understanding. I have spent most of my life living in communities, all with the same expressed purpose – to reveal our wholeness and authenticity. With that commitment came living in several countries and in unusual situations.

Out of necessity I collected skills – bookkeeping and managing people’s projects, offering astrological insights, doing shadow work, running seminars and creating workshops. Often improvising while stepping into the unknown without a full script.

Later, when I felt extreme anger after the betrayal and breakup of a relationship, I changed countries. I volunteered to work in rural Zululand, for a year, without electricity or running water, the only white woman in the project. Living in a foreign culture, not knowing the language with only my heart for communication.

After I lost my job unexpectedly, I started my own well-being business. Then in a leadership role, I participated in visioning and strategising for an adult education charity. I spoke in public, presented courses and facilitated group workshops.

When we decided to relocate back to the UK, we lost everything we possessed in a warehouse fire. All our material goods were waiting in the warehouse for a shipping container, before continuing their onward journey. That same year I lost my job – resigning because of the lack of integrity from the leader of the organisation. And with that, I lost my community and walked away. I lost all of what had anchored me for nearly 30 years.

So the Breath has drawn me to my new incarnation, to a new group of people with the same values and spiritual understanding. I have an individual practice, while still being intimately connected to a larger story.

What do you stand for, and what do you stand against?

I stand for Life in all its glory. And the ability to see a larger perspective.

What is your greatest wish for your clients

My greatest wish is that my clients find parts of themselves that were lost and gain understanding. And that there is a sense of relief and comfort, and plenty of ‘aha’ moments along the way.

Thought

“There is almost a sensual longing for communion with others who have a large vision. The immense fulfilment of the friendship between those engaged in furthering the evolution of consciousness has a quality impossible to describe”. Teilhard de Chardin
