Where did you complete your training (or where are you still in training)?
Breathing Space
What do you enjoy about breathwork and how has it helped you?
What I love about breathwork is that it brings me back to myself. It takes me out of my head and into my body, into a place where I can slow down, listen and reconnect with myself. It is always available and it’s free.
Breathwork has helped me release emotions. It has helped me become more present, more connected and more compassionate towards myself. It has also introduced me to a beautiful community and offered me friendship at a time when i had little else.
Are you trained in any other modalities?

How do they integrate with breathwork?
In my own unique way I weave Soul Signatures® and breathwork together, creating a nurturing space where people can explore who they are, understand themselves more deeply and discover what is possible for them.
What is your personal journey?
After 35 years teaching in mainstream education, I was fortunate to be offered early retirement at 55 years of age.
Teaching had always been a significant part of who I was, and I knew that I wanted to continue supporting people in some way. I was at the start of my spiritual awakening path and was curious about anything and everything! I started a small wellness business, organising wellbeing events, workshops and talks within the local community.
It was a new beginning. A chance to explore my interests, share what I had learned, and create something that felt meaningful.
Then lockdown hit and life, as I knew it, took a very unexpected detour.
My marriage broke down, and after 30 years together, we divorced. Everything changed and the future I had imagined looked very different now.
For 18 months, I lived in my caravan.
It was a time when I found myself at my lowest point. There were many difficult days, and times when I wondered if i would ever get through it.
During this period, I was working with a mentor and teacher who spoke a lot about the Soul Signatures. I began exploring personal development with the Signatures. Each call included a small breathwork practice, and gradually, I grew more curious.
Then, one evening, Claire Standen joined our Soul Signature call as a guest speaker.
I remember being drawn to what she shared, although I had no idea at the time how significant that introduction would become.
Several months later, I arranged a call to speak with her about breathwork.
Through Claire, I discovered Breathing Space and that opened a door for me.
I signed up for the Breathing Space facilitator training and at the same time, I committed to another certification with the Soul Signatures.
Looking back, it was very clear that both were going to become significant parts of my life. The two paths began to weave together naturally with very little effort from myself.
The Soul Signatures gave me a framework for exploring and expressing different aspects of myself whilst breathwork gave me a way to connect more deeply with my inner experience.
Writing became an important part of my healing process.
I began writing poems and blogs that introduced the Soul Signatures, whilst also describing the deep and sometimes intense emotions I was moving through.
Writing became a way of expressing what I was experiencing.
I decided that my project would be to write eleven breathwork meditations, one for each of the eleven Soul Signatures, including a poem written by myself for each.
I quickly realised that completing all eleven sessions was going to take longer than I had originally imagined and made the decision very early in my facilitator training to continue into a second year of training, with the intention of completing my eleven breathwork sessions.
I stayed with Breathing Space, a place where I had begun to feel safe within a supportive community for a 2nd year and qualified in September 2026 as a breathwork teacher.
Now, I find myself at another significant point in my journey.
The eleven signature breathworks are complete.
The poems I have written along the way are ready to be shared.
What began as a personal exploration, during one of the most challenging periods of my life, has become something I hope will support others on their own journeys.
I shall be sharing my poems here in Breath and Word over the coming months and I hope you enjoy reading them.

What is your greatest wish for your clients
My greatest wish is for my clients to feel safe, held and supported whilst working with me. I want my clients to know that I am genuine and authentic in the work I do, and that I bring my own experience and journey into the work rather than simply teaching something I have learned.
