THE JOURNEY TO SURRENDER

Breathwork Facilitator and Teacher with Breathing Space; Ambassador for Soul Signatures; Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner

I wrote this particular poem early in January 2025, and I believe it captures a pivotal point in my journey. At this time, I had begun to develop a regular breathwork practice since beginning my Facilitator training with Breathing Space and was learning more about the Soul Signatures® while navigating a period of profound personal change. Although I didn’t fully realise it at the time, I was already weaving these two powerful modalities together in my own life.
“The Journey to Surrender” is less about the circumstances themselves and more about the practices I was learning. It speaks of letting go, trusting the breath, listening to the soul, and finding the courage to keep moving forward.
Looking back, I can see the Surrender Signature ® already at work. What felt then like uncertainty and fear was, in many ways, an invitation to loosen my grip on who I thought I needed to be, to release what no longer served me, and to trust my own inner wisdom.

THE JOURNEY TO SURRENDER

The journey to surrender seems endless to me
Let go of the past to feel aligned and free
It was never a white flag to signal defeat
But twists and turns, yet still incomplete

Surrender the sadness, the tears and the grief,
The anger, the heartache, the disbelief.
Allow the emotion to rise up and release
A journey inward to find inner peace

The struggle for me is to simply let go
But the hurt is deep and the journey slow
Resistance to leave that familiar life
One we had shared as husband and wife

To fully surrender with every breath i take
Trust and commit to this life I now make
Feel the connection to heart and soul
Surrender it all to reach the goal

As this journey now reaches it’s end
Trust in myself, make fear a friend
Resistance lessens for the path now in sight
Embrace the future and step into the light
